Project update and feedback needed! 🌍

TL;DR I wanted to give you all a quick update of where we are with the project, and where we're going next. But, I'll also need your help!

You're here with me, building a brand I always believed in. So that deserves some open communication. In this entry I'll give you a look behind the scenes of building a green online brand ☺️

ℹ️ A Project Update!

You asked, we listened: We introduced podcast clips!

After releasing the podcast, some of you send me a DM asking if we'd also think about releasing shorter clips of the full interviews. So... here we are 😉

And I completely understand. Sometimes you don't have the time to spend a full hour of your day listening or watching a podcast. Or maybe... you're just not into podcasts all together (which is fine too!).

For those among you, we'll be releasing 5-10 min clips of the most juicy parts of the interviews, and share them as bite-sized nuggets!

But yes, we'll make sure to keep working on the long-form podcasts! Just as a reminder, you can find the audio version here!

Next episode is coming very, very soon 👀

Now, let me explain the next phases of the project below👇

🚀 What's next?

As my professor ecology once said: "There's a time to study the details of the individual organism, but eventually you'll have to look at the ecosystem as a whole, to understand the dynamics that are at play."

And that's exactly what I've been doing the past month. Running a podcast is fun, but it won't run for long if the lights are out. So, here are a few things I'm working on for 2024-2025:

  • Building out the knowledge centre

This year has been all about testing workflows, optimising content creation processes and understanding the needs of our main audiences: creators and scientists.

All of this is slowly falling into place, which means I get to focus on building resources that will help new and upcoming science communicators and environmental content creators.

We're talking new guides, tutorial videos, courses, webinars and workshops!
  • Release the E-book

The E-book has been in the works since 2022 and is currently in it's 6th revision. It's been tested by novice, intermediate and professional science communicators!

"The fact that after years of doing science communication I found some bits new, enlightening and challenging tells something about the quality of this text, but maybe also about the depth of my own skill level - there is so much to learn!" *

You can only experience so much imposter syndrome before you either crawl back, or make the leap anyway. I think it's safe to say it's time to release it into the world!
More updates on this the coming month. You can sign up for the waitlist here.

*Thanks again Kirill, for all the time you spend going through the book and the so-so-useful-feedback 🥹
  • Season 2 of the podcast: Creator edition

First of all, yes we still have a bunch of episodes coming your way to finish of Season 1.

We'll talk about more fundamental topics, such as climate adaptation, policy, polar science and communicating all of this to a lay audience.

But we're already looking ahead, to hear from other creators and share their work. It's Creators For Climate after all, right?

And for this we'll need your help, pin pointing the ideal creators to interview! 👇

🙋🏻‍♂️ Creators & Questions

If you have any favourite creators you want to see featured, we want to hear from you!

For Season 2, we're on the look out to chat with creators who are busy creating content with impact. These are the areas we want to deep dive into:

  • Environmental
  • Biodiversity
  • Conservation
  • Sustainability
  • Climate Solutions & Action
  • Storytelling & Communication

If you know a creator that plays in these fields, let us know by using the 1st form below.

Secondly, if you have a question about these topics, science communication or content creation, ask away in the 2nd form below and we'll answer that too! 👇
